Sponsor A Resilient Care Package for a local family

Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, food insecurity has soared in Detroit. As food prices continue to climb, more individuals are expected to face hardships. Neighborhood Grocery is committed to helping families consume wholesome food at home, and we aim to provide them with the necessary tools to cook more at home.

With the rise in Covid cases in Detroit and the approaching cold/flu season, we want to offer families products that help prevent the spread of viruses.

We are reaching out to those who are currently more fortunate to sponsor a bag for a family in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood. The distribution of these kits will commence on October 5, 2024, starting at 3 PM.

Each kit includes:

- A reusable grocery tote (Note: Neighborhood Grocery offers a $3 discount on orders when customers bring reusable bags.)
- A crockpot, to encourage families to prepare soups at home as a nutritious and economical option, with recipes provided.
- Face masks
- Disinfectant wipes
- Paper towels
- Kleenex
- Hand sanitizer
